Bienvenu sur notre blog, enfin online! FU ou Fashion Union se veut une dose maximale de mode et ce au quotidien, proposant un regard aiguisé et exquis sur la mode et son monde, à travers le temps... Par un parcours atypique et exercé, le duo Bianca Lee et Pierre Marc vous proposera hebdomadairement des articles, sous la forme de courts posts, en anglais et en français, sur la mode bien sûr, mais également les designers, les magazines, les nouveautés à connaître, la musique, par exemple, à Montréal, mais également à l'étranger.

Aussi bien Bianca que moi avons été attristés et choqués par la mort prématurée de l'enfant terrible de la mode. Voici donc, en préambule de cette ouverture de blog, un hommage à Alexander McQueen...

Alexander Lee McQueen

McQueen's death is both hard to comprehend and unexpected which makes it so difficult to deal with. We didn't know McQueen as a person but only through his designs, which were strong but also poetic. He was very private about his life outside the realm of fashion, and we did not know much about him other than his extraordinary creative mind. Over the years, McQueen would surprise us over and over again with his amazing shows. They were stories taken from various fantasy worlds. We remember a floating hologram of Kate Moss, an immense wind tunnel, or most recently, a mix of earth and sea creatures balanced on claw like heels. He was a genius of the fashion world ans will be forever missed.
